RESEARCH ACADEMY IN SALT LAKE CITY:
Last year 62 students and 8 instructors gathered in Salt Lake City for The National Institute for Genealogical Studies' Research Academy. So many positive comments were received, and many participants have indicated they want to come back this year.

Registration is now open. We've made some changes this year. Please allow me to explain. Last year your only option was the complete program that included country specific lectures, methodology lectures and research time. This year, you can still register for this complete program, but you can also choose to participate in just the lectures, or just the research. Here are the different options. Look what's included:

RESEARCH AND LECTURES PROGRAM:
* Twelve and a half hours of in-classroom instruction in researching one of these specific country records: The United States, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland and Germany.
* Fourteen hours of Methodology lectures and workshops.
* Twenty hours of research time at the Family History Library with an instructor available to advise and assist students.
* One-on-one consultation with an instructor to help them understand your individual needs and concerns.
* Family History Library collection tour.
* Prior to the trip, to help prepare yourself and get the most out of this event - One online course from the popular program Certificate in Genealogical Studies offered by the University of Toronto and The National Institute for Genealogical Studies.
* Four live group chat sessions with instructors and classmates prior to this trip.

RESEARCH ONLY PROGRAM:
* Forty hours of research time at the Family History Library with an instructor available to advise and assist students.
* One-on-one consultation with an instructor to help them understand your individual needs and concerns.
