Ft. Wayne: Thanks for the info Tom.

DearREADERS,
One of the largest genealogy endowments of late was announced today, and I heard about it because I am a regular subscriber of Tom Kemp’s GenealogyBank.com Blog where we read:

“The Allen County Library (Ft Wayne, IN) has received a $10 million gift - to be given as $1 million payments each year over 10 years from the Edward D. and Ione Auer Foundation. See: http://blog.genealogybank.com/2008/08/allen-county-library-in-receives-10.html"

Find the link in Tom’s blog entry to the local newspaper’s announcement. There you will find which part of the library receives the gift and how it is to be spent.

Thanks for keeping us informed, Tom. This was too important an announcement for Ol’ Myrt here not to cross post!

Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)
