If you’ve got ancestors from Ireland, England or Scotland, perhaps you’ve considered the resources at Originsnetwork.com. Cost-saving memberships are always welcome, and one has recently been offered from this site to encourage your active participation. From a recent newsletter, Ol’ Myrt discovered:
“To celebrate the Easter and the long bank holiday, Origins.net is offering a 20% discount on all subscriptions (initial payment only).
Search over millions of names from the 13th to the 20th centuries including Marriage records, Wills, Apprentice records, Teachers' registrations, Passenger lists, Court records, Griffith's Valuation, Census records and much more! Most recently
To take advantage of this offer, simply enter the following code in the promotional box on the sign up page or check out page: EASTER09 (valid until 19 April 2009). Visit http://www.originsnetwork.com/signup-info.aspx for details.”
This site recently added the Poor Law Union records for London, described as “among the most valuable genealogy sources, containing biographical detail unavailable elsewhere. Abstracts of Poor Law records for the parish of St Sepulchre have now been added, taking the total searchable names to over 20,000. Now available to British Origins and Total Access subscribers.”
Happy family tree climbing!
