DearREADERS,
What genealogist doesn't bemoan the fact that all this work is for naught, if when we die the younger generations will just throw out all this "genealogy stuff"?
Memorial Day weekend 2009 has given me hope. That’s when my youngest daughter Carrie, her husband and children visited with 87-year old Great-grandma Lois, my son-in-law’s mother’s mom. The trip included a visit to two local cemeteries.
As I poured through the pics on my daughter’s blog entry what emerged is a genealogical breakthrough. See Memorial Day Weekend Part 1 to find out how the mystery had to be “unearthed”.
Ol' Myrt here couldn't be prouder!
Dare I tell them this is basic genealogy research? Naaaaa. I don’t want to spoil it.
Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)
