National Day of Sweden

DearREADERS,
Wikipedia explains "National Day of Sweden, or the Swedish Flag's Day (Sveriges nationaldag or svenska flaggans dag) is a national holiday observed in Sweden on June 6 every year. The tradition of celebrating this date began 1916 at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium, in honour of the election of King Gustav Vasa in 1523, as this was considered the foundation of modern Sweden."

To honor this special day, our friends at Genline.com are providing two specials to aid you in discovering more about your Swedish roots.
  • 2 weeks for 99 SEK (about 13 USD)
  • nearly a 50% savings on a two-year subscription.

These offers are available now and will expire on June 16, 2009.

Genline.com continues to offer the Summer Research subscription that "gives access to our Swedish Church Records up to and including August 31, 2009. This is a great offer if you don't have a current subscription or one that expires before July 1st. You can spend this summer focused on tracing your Swedish heritage!"

Happy family tree climbing!
