Why genealogists must get digital

DearREADERS,
Why bother with all this blogging, online videos and such? Here's why. Check out this posting in response to Ol' Myrt's interview with Audrey Collins from The National Archives (UK) taped during RootsTech 2011 this past weekend.

A Facebook friend and fellow geneablogger Linda McCauley (of Documenting the Details) reports that within minutes of watching the interview posted on YouTube, she decided to go out to The National Archives (UK) website. She successfully located a 1723 will, and downloaded it for US$6. WOW!! Thanks for the feedback, Linda.

Happy family tree climbing!

  1. Wow. How exciting to see an immediate impact.

Genealogists indeed are missing out if they remain in analog.
