At the risk of being terribly personal, Ol' Myrt here wishes to mention she will be out of the loop for a few days owing to what I hope is the final round of dental work. I'll actually be LOOPEY!
Then Mr. Myrt will spirit me away to Birmingham, Alabama where we are both taking the Military Records Course by Craig R. Scott, CG at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research at Samford University. Check-in is Sunday evening. Though it is rumored Craig doesn't give homework, there will be much to do. That probably translates into very little time for email and blogging.
Please take care -- be safe from the smoke and fires out west, and watch those extremely high temperatures. Also those of you on the Missouri River, take care with the rising flood waters as they feed into the Mississippi. Go out of your way to help neighbors.
Our friendships have developed over the years, and you mean a lot to this Ol' Myrt. I pray you are safe and happy.
Just sign me nostalgic. My neice is about to give birth to a brand new little girl.
Times are tough for many folks, yet through it all miracles like new little leafs on the family tree do spring forth.
Happy family tree climbing!
Your friend in genealogy.
