Getting familiar with GoToWebinar

DearREADERS,
If you are new to online seminars, known as "webinars", not to worry. Most of the webinars posted at GeneaWebinars.com employ the use of the GoToMeeting.com services from Citrix, which has two offerings: GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar. The latter is for larger groups of attendees.

DearMYRTLE Workshop Webinars are held using my GoToWebinar account. You do not need to pay for the service. Here are some helpful guidelines for attendees:
  • Attendees should use this guide to learn how to register for a Webinar, join a Webinar, audio tips and best practices, access Webinar help, use the control panel, and leave a Webinar. If this is your first time, attending a Webinar, you may want to review this guide in advance.

  • Advanced Audio (31 minutes)
Rest assured I'll "open" the webinar "room" (activate the webinar) about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start, so you may test your speakers and get accustomed to the GoToWebinar interface. I'll even have a few orientation slides to expand your understanding.

To register for upcoming DearMYRTLE's webinars, be sure to checkout the GeneaWebinar Calendar.
