DearREADERS,
Are you finally ready to go over to the Google+ side of things so you can participate in our upcoming Mastering Genealogical Proof Study Group? Today, Ol' Myrt here and Cousin +Russ Worthington created a 23 minute video discussing:

  • Calendaring
  • What's the differences between a Google+ "Hangout" and a "Hangout on Air".
  • What's a JOINer?
  • What's a VIEWer?
  • Is the live "Hangout on Air" recorded for later viewing?
  • Where do I go to VIEW a class session?
  • Where do I go to post comments?
  • How to get to DearMYRTLE on YouTube.
  • How to get to DearMYRTLE's Genealogy Community.
  • How to VIEW the video in one browser window and COMMENT in another window.
  • Can I post comments after the live Hangout On Air has concluded?
  • Why you might temporarily turn off G+ Community notifications? (Default is "on".)
  • How to turn on CC - Closed Captioning
  • What it looks like when using a sign language interpreter during a live "Hangout on Air".

We begin 2 June 2013 at 8pm Eastern (New York) Time.

Following the www.GeneaWebinars.com calendar for all the latest info.

Happy family tree climbing!

  1. On May 3, 2013, you did a wonderful webinar, "Blogging For Beginners", for Legacy Family Tree. I took copious notes and within a couple of days I had my own Jewish genealogy blog up and running at: yourjewishgem.blogspot.com ("Jewish Gem's Genealogy: Mining For Your Elusive Ancestors")---I provide information that I find primarily through Eastern European resources--it has been a wonderful experience so far. I am really looking forward to you next blog about blogging, coming up in a couple of months.
