RootsTech 2014: Nauvoo Cafe, The Garden, The Roof

DearREADERS,
Once you get to Salt Lake City for the RootsTech 2014 conference, you'll want to be sure to visit the Joseph Smith Memorial Building located due east of Temple Square. For a quick bite, be sure to visit The Nauvoo Cafe, on the SW corner of the building, corner of Main Street and South Temple, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I particularly like their pork roast sandwiches. Ask for the special cranberry sauce. They make orders to go, just call or email:

The Nauvoo Cafe
15 East South Temple, Main Floor
Salt Lake City, Utah 84150
Phone: (801) 539-3346

Also in the building you'll find:

The Garden
15 East South Temple, 10th Floor
Salt Lake City, Utah 84150
Phone: (801) 539-3346
This is the place with the retractable roof. Yes, they do retract even in the cold winter months for just a minute, provided there is no precipitation.

The Roof

Very upscale, excellent buffet with primo views of the LDS Temple to the west. Try to get there just before sundown. Reservations will most certainly be required.

Happy family tree climbing!
