Wacky Wednesday: Foreign Language Wikipedia

DearREADERS,
Just when you thought you understood Wikipedia, along comes Dave McDonald, expanding on his Mondays with Myrt discussion about accessing foreign language Wikipedia pages through the back door, so to speak. He will demo the problem when an English speaker clicks the foreign language icons on the main Wikipedia page, and why that process may not provide access to "boots on the ground" information genealogists seek about ancestral homelands.

Ol' Myrt here has known Dave since the old AOL Golden Gates Genealogy Forum days. As past president, Dave McDonald, CG currently serves as Trustee of the Board for Certification of Genealogists. From his APG profile we read:

Academic Degrees:
BA (History) ; MDiv (Christian Ministry) ; DMin (Field Research)

Research Specialty:
Catholics ; Emigration & Immigration ; Federal Records ; Lineage Societies ; Mayflower ; Migration ; Paleography ; Presbyterians ; Quakers ; Scots-Irish ; German American ; Anglicans/Church of England/Episcopalians

We are using Google+ Hangouts on Air platform for this meeting.
