Video: The Written Conclusion - Proof Statements

There was a global response to our most unusual Hangout on Air invitation Friday, as we discussed "proof statements" per Thomas W. Jones' Chapter 7 of his book Mastering Genealogical Proof. (1) Participants submitted links to sample proof statements in advance so we worked through real-world research samples during this first session of THE WRITTEN CONCLUSION Study Group. We had two participants from Australia, one from Wales, one from Scotland, and many more from the US and Canada.

Find out WHY Ol' Myrt created this little sketch:

Note we worked back and forth between our samples and the book in a determined effort to improve proof statements. You may click to view the archived video here, but why not view within the context of comments and links discussed (105 responses thus far!) gathered before, during and after this Hangout on Air over in DearMYRTLE's Genealogy Community on G+ located here?

So, it's simple. If you value the work Ol' Myrt, +Cousin Russ and our beloved panelists do week in and week out on your behalf, please:

Check the GeneaWebinars Calendar for exact dates of upcoming DearMYRTLE study groups and Hangouts on Air, in addition to over 200 hours of online genealogy classes, webinars and tweetchats from other hosts and presenters in the next 12 months.
