#FuelTheFind before ancient handwriting fades

What can compare to the thrill of finding your ancestor's name in a hundred-year old document? Seeing a young couple's marriage portrait from the old country? Finally figuring out the maiden name of a great-grandfather's wife? Breakthroughs like this only happen when we find those records mentioning our ancestors that were created at the time and place where they once lived.

But the old handwriting is literally fading off the pages of history. Archives and libraries are facing financial cutbacks and closures at an alarming pace. Unless we digitize and index those old records, we will lose access to our family's past. Your heritage. My heritage.

That's why +Cousin Russ and I support FamilySearch Indexing's 2015 Worldwide Indexing Event.

We are ALL IN on FamilySearch Indexing's one -WEEK indexing event.

And as usual, Ol' Myrt here and +Cousin Russ  support the indexing initiative 100%. #FuelTheFind

We need volunteers to join our Hangout at

Can you help us for 15-20 minutes any time during the hour? I'd like to talk about breakthroughs you've experienced using indexed records at FamilySearch.

We are working to get a FamilySearch Indexing rep to join us as well.
