"Dr. Connie L. Lester is an associate professor in the Department of History at the University of Central Florida.  She is also the editor of the Florida Historical Quarterly and the director of RICHES (the Regional Initiative for Collecting the History, Experiences, and Stories) of Central Florida.

She is the author of Up From the Mudsills of Hell: The Farmers’ Alliance, Populism, and Progressive Agriculture in Tennessee, 1870-1915 (2006) and 14 articles and chapters on her research. She is currently editing the Civil War diaries of Lucy Virginia French and a volume on an economic history of Mississippi, tentatively titled Making Do: History, Poverty, and the Mississippi Economy in the 20th Century."
