New Hangouts are working fine!


An update regarding: Hangouts Going Away? No worries for us. Cousin Russ and I just tested out a pre-release of the new hangouts process that will go live on 12 Sept 2016. Things work without a hitch! This means hangout enthusiasts will have no issues using the new procedure. I was able to schedule a hangout for a later time, and then open that hangout's green room as per usual.

Hangouts are a great way to keep in touch with family and friends who live across town or around the world. Genealogy societies are adding a "virtual" component to regular meetings making it possible to have a guest speaker without incurring travel expenses. Genealogy speakers enjoy more time in the office and less time on the road. And we aren't even mentioning lost luggage or missed connections blues.

Cousin Russ and I favor the conversation that hangouts offer over typical webinar lectures. Me thinks you'll find our study groups sessions illustrate the ease of hangout technology. Find out more at:
