Clock on your computer

From: Don L. Blanchard
You might want to check the clock settings on your computer. Your last message to FHCNET indicates that you originated it May 28, 2007 at 9:22 AM. Maybe you just work faster than the rest of us.

Ol' Myrt here DID inadvertently change the date on her laptop computer. I was using the computer calendar (rather than MS Outlook) to see what day of the week a certain date in May 2007 would be. Rather than hit "cancel" I must have hit "ok" which updated my computer to that date.

-- My postings to DearMYRTLE-L and other mailing lists such as FHCNET looked like they were sent in May 2007. (Sure did get ahead of myself, eh?)

-- My Norton Internet Security was REALLY upset. It kept telling me that my anti-virus data was woefully out of date. I'd run update, and then within 15 minutes Norton would give me that warning. Every time I'd try to update, Norton's website would tell me I had the latest file. (sigh)

When I received your email, Don, it alerted me to look at the date. THANKS.

Apparently, Norton has a little code to compare the date of the last anti-virus update file, and the current date on one's computer, hence all that aggravating (and alarming) requests to update every 15 minutes.

Maybe now I can get some work done?

Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)
