OGDEN, UTAH—My Ancestors Found and the Ogden Regional Family History Center are joining forces to bring a spectacular Genealogy and Family Heritage Jamboree to Northern Utah. Jamboree planners expect thousands of genealogists from across the state and the nation to attend. Classes such as: getting started for the first time, writing personal and family histories, easier scanning, resources close to home, power of DNA, software demonstrations, with special emphasis on researching Scottish, Austrian, French, United States, Italian, Hispanic, and Black History, along with many additional topics to be covered. Registration is now open with special pre-registration pricing available.

“What makes this conference so great,” Jimmy B. Parker, former manager of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, veteran conference attendee and presenter said; “is that there is something valuable for everyone at a fraction of the cost of a national genealogical event. With more than 35 classes being offered there is something for everyone from beginners to very advanced researchers. To me that’s what makes this conference so exciting.” Parker adds that; “many of the most knowledgeable and sought-after family history professionals will be teaching the classes, and more than 30 respected family history vendors will be filling the exhibit hall with the latest products, services and door prizes.”

The primary sponsor of this event, My Ancestors Found, has organized similar conferences all over the region, and expects the 2nd annual Ogden area conference to bring attendees from not only the Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming areas, but from literally all across the nation. “Our motto is Helping to Educate, Motivate, and Inspire!” says Holly Hansen, president of MyAncestorsFound.com. “This upcoming event is bound to be popular. Word is spreading fast—and not just by us, local family history enthusiasts are encouraging each other to go. We take that as a tremendous compliment.”

Pre-registration cost is only $40 for the full day event. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $45. Register on-line at: http://www.myancestorsfound.com/.
