Everything You Wanted to Know but Were Afraid to Ask
The Johnson County Genealogy Society’s annual seminar is at 7:45 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Lenexa Community Center located at 13420 Oak Street Lenexa, Kansas. Additional information follows below.
The Johnson County Genealogy Society meets the 4th Saturday of each month from January through November. Programs are aimed at helping members and guests progress with their individual genealogical research and feature speakers on a variety of related topics. Individual advice and help for members is available.
The J.C.G.S. genealogical library collection is maintained in the Genealogy and Regional Reference area of the Johnson County Central Resource Library. Donations to the collection in the form of books, pamphlets, magazines, manuscripts, family histories, local histories, regimental histories, maps, atlases, school yearbooks, photographs, or any other documents of a genealogical or historical nature are welcome.
The society publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Johnson County, Kansas Genealogist in March, June, September, and December. The Society is a volunteer, non-profit organization. All gifts or donations are tax deductible.
