Myrt 's attending first FamilySearch Blogger Day events

Just this morning I received permission from Paul Nauta to blog about this Thursday's FamilySearch Blogger Day event. I've flown back to Salt Lake City specifically to attend and learn more about FamilySearch. This is particularly helpful since I rarely have time at the national conferences to visit the FamilySearch booth. This is the list of scheduled topics and presenters for Thursday's marathon event to be held in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building:

  • Wiki: Community knowledge, by the community, for the community, 24/7 - Diane Lossle.

Some of my genea-blogger colleagues have already arrived in Salt Lake City -- to do research, and attend tonight's UGA Utah Genealogical Association Banquet featuring Mark Lowe.

Ol' Myrt here is finalizing work on her two upcoming virtual presentations -- one this evening (comparing RootsMagic with Legacy Family Tree & Family Tree Maker) and tomorrow evening's Blogging for Beginners (hosted by our friends at Legacy Family Tree).

You can bet, I'll be blogging and tweeting lots more about this week's events.

Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt     :)
Your friend in genealogy.

  1. Have a wonderful time - can't wait to hear what you guys learn!

  2. You said 2 upcoming virtual presentations... does that mean that they'll be accessible to people on the web?!? Where will we find links to sign up for them?

  3. YES --

The Second Life genealogy group is attending the RootsMagic comparison class tonight via GoToMeeting.com.

You may register for the Blogging for Beginners Webinar through the link provided in the blog entry above this comment. Hope to see you there!

  4. Sure looks like you are going to be very busy. I'm exhausted just reading your schedule. Can't wait to hear about it.

  5. Have great time at the Blogger Day. Take really good notes to share.
Can't wait for the Blogging for Beginners Webinar!

  6. Sorry I won't see you in Salt Lake for Bloggers Day. I just couldn't get the child care.

BUT....I will see you in Atlanta soon and that makes me very happy. :)
