DearREADERS,
So the concept of "taking the rest of the month off" in the 2011 April Organization Checklist was an April Fool's joke, but it had a TWIST. Did you find it?
Here's the link to the REAL DearMYRTLE's April 2011 Organization Checklist.
You may be well on your way to digitizing your ancestral photos and documents, but don't let that turn you off to the wealth of information available only in vertical files (file cabinets) at libraries near where your ancestors lived.
This month Ol' Myrt pushes you to use WorldCat, and to organize your email box.
Good luck, and hopefully you are well on your way to winning the Kindle. Remember you may enter as many times as you wish.
The rules, you say? You'll just have to read the checklists.
Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)
DearMYRTLE,
Your friend in genealogy.
The link to the real April checklist seems to be broken.
ReplyDeleteOK, I fixed the link. Sorry. That was WEIRD, eh?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the checklists. Great help and would really like that Kindle!:-D
ReplyDeleteYour nice tutorial using Gmail was very helpful! I'm a long time user but never did use filters and now I understand the concept and will try it out! Thanks for sharing those easy to follow instructions as well as the rest of the checklist.I did spend a lot of time today organizing my emails better, thanks to your post!
ReplyDeleteMyrt! You are such a Task Master! In fact I'll bet you're better than my gen goal buddy, C. Palmer at cracking the whip!
ReplyDeleteOh and by the way, I am probably the only human left on the planet who does NOT have a Kindle so if I win you know it will be appreciated.
Hello Myrt,
ReplyDeleteBeen following you for many years, thanks for all of the organization ideas, I surely can use them. Keep them coming. Would love to win the Kindle. Glo
You are the best! I'm trying to keep up with all the organization skills..I'm picking up some different ideas to use in Outlook. Thanks for all you do for the genealogy field!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the idea of creating a "library' folder; I'm visiting 3 distant libraries in May and was overwhelming myself as to how to keep all the info for each library separate. Why I couldn't think of putting it in a folder is beyond me, so thanks a million.
ReplyDeleteHi Myrt, I'm working hard to keep up with you on the checklists! Better at some things than others :-) I tend to fall behind when I travel, and then it's hard to catch up. Would love to win the Kindle so I can put that travel time to good use. Thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy each of your posts. They give me more info than I can find in other posts! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your posts! I learn so much from them!! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteSince April is about organizing - I figured out what I would do if I was the lucky winner of the Kindle.
