Feedback from one happy participant:

Thank you for putting together the Second Life webinar. I am sure it will help many others see the value in “getting a Second Life”.   I had been intimidated to start using Second Life previously.  It seemed like a role-playing game that I really didn’t want anything to do with.

Showing us how to create an account and an avatar was great, but the best part of the webinar was when you went real-time into Second Life and met up with other genealogists and let us watch the interactions. This really showed us what it was like.  I think the webinar tool was the best communication method to demonstrate that.  The Second Life genealogy community is very welcoming and helpful to” newbies”.

One of the other great benefits of this webinar was the quick tips of people to friend and places to visit.  Any newcomer will be up and running quickly with people to see and places to go.  If they ever need any help, Clarise Beaumont and Genie Weezles will be there to help.

Thanks so much for taking the time to make this webinar and, as a great bonus, make it available free!

NOTE: Recipients must have Windows Media 9 or higher to view the recorded webinar. Install the GoToMeeting codec at http://www.gotomeeting.com/codec if not already installed or if you are not running the GoToMeeting software on your computer.

Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt     :)
Your friend in genealogy.
