Hurricane Sandy prompts rescheduling of Monday webinars

With Maryland and Virginia already declaring a "state of emergency" status owing to the approach of Hurricane Sandy, other Eastern US seaboard states are sure to follow. Since our Virginia home is in the middle of the "cone of uncertainty", Ol' Myrt here has decided to cancel both of the DearMYRTLE webinars scheduled for Monday, 29 October 2012.

Mondays with Myrt will resume it's normal 12 noon Eastern US webinar on 5 Nov 2012.

The second session of TNG The Next Generation of Genealogy Site Building will be held 5 November 2012 at 9pm Eastern US time.

All pre-registered participants have been notified via email.

Mother Nature has absolute power, doesn't she? Be safe everyone.

Happy family tree climbing!

  1. Stay safe, Pat!! I'm in NJ, not far from NYC -- we're supposed to get sustained winds of 50-60 mph w/gusts up to 80 mph. Not looking forward to this blasted storm at ALL. NJ, NY, Connecticut have all declared States of Emergency. Now I'm getting nervous. Hope we all don't lose power, but if we do, sure hope it's back up by your next webinar! Again, stay safe.

  2. Wise decision. After the derecho, my phones didn't work. Everything else did but I was one of the lucky ones. Virginia has had a run of bad events lately - earthquake, derecho, and now Frankenstorm. Keep safe.
