some_text DearREADERS,

Putting Ol' Myrt's pioneer ancestors into historical
perspective just got easier thanks to!

I'm pouring through Hine's Illustrated History of the State
of Washington
published in 1893, just discovered in digital
format at WVR.

Enticed by the federal government's "Donation Land" claims,
Daniel and Melva(Hazzard) Crowley carved out an existence
due east of Vancouver where Daniel served as a postmaster.

  1. I subscribed for 2 years to WorldVitalRecords when it first came online and was very disappointed and hurt by their treatment of my subscription. When I started, there were very few international records available, only American. I was asked to be patient, since I did not need much in the American content. My interests lay with the United Kingdom and Canada. I was willing to wait until some of those records came online. When they did, instead of me being able to access these records with my current subscription, my subscription was changed from World to USA and had no value to me whatsoever. Repeated complaints to the company about their policy did not yield any satisfactory solution to me. I felt totally used and abused.

    1. now owns the company, and as you know MyHeritage has a global approach to family history research. I'd say give it a try again.
