3,100 DearMYRTLE blog posts
Just picked up on an interesting statistic. Ol' Myrt here has published 3,100 articles using this blog space.
Though I've been online since the winter of 1984-1985, I've only been writing as DearMYRTLE since 1995. Originally this was confined to the AOL proprietary environment. For a while I also posted articles on the web at www.DearMYRTLE.com.
Then Bret Lang, Ph. D. described weblogs and introduced me to the Blogger.com workspace, I've written 3,100 posts here. The first one posted on 3 December 2002 wasn't particularly informative. I was just publishing to get the hang of the blogging interface, much as any new blogger might do.
But over the years, I've met marvelously talented genealogists. That's what it's all about -- the wonderful people we meet while climbing our family trees.
(This post makes it 3,101.)
Happy family tree climbing!
Your friend in genealogy.
