Making the rounds this week is news that our friend Denise
Levenick, of the Family Curator Blog, has written a new book. In an interesting method for spreading the word about How to Archive
Family Keepsakes, Denise has created a "Blog Book Tour" ensuring you'll hear about her
work in detail during the next 16 days.
But this promotional tour isn't self-serving,
as proceeds from the sale of How to Archive
Family Keepsakes during
the Book Tour will help fund the 2013 Student Genealogy Grant founded in
2010
in honor of Denise’s mother, Suzanne Winsor Freeman. This grant is specifically to provide access to a major genealogy conference. Costs of attending genealogy conferences iare high enough for the rest of us, let alone for students on tight budgets. Denise's "Student Genealogy Grant" is an excellent
way to encourage our youth to develop sound family history research skills.
Ol' Myrt is excited to interview Denise during this "Blog Book Tour". Visit http://www.thefamilycurator.com/book-tour to participate in the tour, and see what other members of the genealogy community think about this project.
