RAF Museum WWI digitization project

Thanks to the Who Do You Think You Are Magazine for reporting on this breakthrough project to digitize WWI RAF records.

"The RAF museum, a  Hendon-based organisation, has received a £64,000 grant from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund to digitise over 300,000 documents relating to men serving in the Royal Air Force (RAF) and its parent organisations, the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) between 1914-18. Web users will be able to search for the names of servicemen via the RAF Museum website, and download personnel records directly from the site."
