Thomas W. Jones says "Independent items may be successfully correlated, but correlation of related items will yield an invalid result." (1)
Just what ARE independent items, and why do we care? During tonight's G+ Hangout on Air, we will do our best to study the tests of analysis and the prerequisites to correlation in our continued study of Dr. Jones' new book Mastering Genealogical Proof.
Since we took an extra week on Chapter 3, Ol' Myrt here has removed the
previously scheduled break on July 28th, so we can conclude our studies on time.

HOW TO VIEW THE LIVE HANGOUT
We meet again tonight at 8pm Eastern US (New York) in our Google+
Hangout on Air format. Participants will wait to VIEW on the YouTube
side, posting questions back in the community for Cousin +Russ Worthington
to weave into our panel discussion. Unlike a webinar, the link for a G+
Hangout on Air isn't created until just before the event is to go live.
Closed-captioning is a feature of the live HOAs and recorded HOAs,
through a service provided by Google. I'd say the speech recognition is
about 90% accurate.

COMMENTS and links to assignments will be posted in DearMYRTLE's Genealogy Community on G+ located here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/104382659430904043232
Participants may use a blog or a public Google document to share a homework
assignment.Be aware of copyright, and follow advice in the post titled MGP Homework and Copyright.
NOTE: The "filmstrip" of panelists receive their own invitations to JOIN
the HOA. Merely be online on Google+ and you'll see the popup
invitation in the lower right corner of your Google+ screen.
Alternately, I'll post the link to JOIN the panel in the private MGP
Study Group Panelists private community.
Usually Google+ processes Hangouts on Air within the hour of the close of a recording. View all archived DearMYRTLE Hangouts on Air on YouTube, with the newest on top of the listing.
