FamilySearch Indexing: Why I care, do you?

The best breakthroughs I've had in family history research have come because someone cared to show me the ropes by sharing what they know. I cannot always repay the kindness directly with more than a heartfelt smile and a thank-you, EXCEPT when you consider the vital role indexes play in locating an ancestor in a large record set. That's where FamilySearch Indexing comes in. It's a 2-person computer driven indexing initiative, where an arbitrator reconciles any variances in keystrokes.

We are now in the midst of the 2015 FamilySearch Worldwide Indexing Event.
100,000 volunteers.

We are ALL IN on FamilySearch Indexing's one -WEEK indexing event.

And as usual, Ol' Myrt here and +Cousin Russ  support the indexing initiative 100%. #FuelTheFind

VIEW and post COMMENTS before, during and after the Hangout on Air here:

Can you help us for 15-20 minutes any time during the hour? I'd like to talk about breakthroughs you've experienced using indexed records at FamilySearch.

We will also do follow up during Mondays with Myrt, a special Tuesday hangout, our Scotland Study Group and a special Thursday Hangout, all starting at noon Eastern, 11am Central, 10am Mountain, 9am Pacific.

We are working to get a FamilySearch Indexing rep to join us as well.

In this manner, we are supporting the 2015 FamilySearch Worldwide Indexing Event.

Happy family tree climbing!
