This DearMYRTLE Hangout on Air is presented at no cost to attendees. If you find the information useful, consider the Pay What You Want business model Ol' Myrt employs:

We open the "green room" 15 minutes early if you'd like to test out your microphone and webcam. Consider JOINing the panel when we "scramble" to mix up the conversation a bit with new panelists

This is Ol' Myrt's homework:

Portable LED USB-Powered Monitor from AOC. It's about $89 and can sit vertically or horizontally. It works great with my laptop, though it is usually hooked up to my desktop computer. I use it every day. Thanks to Dick Eastman for first telling me about it.

HP 14" Chromebook, NVIDIA Tegra K1, 2 GB, 16 GB SSD, Ocean Turquoise (though mine is green.) This is perfect if you need a way to access the internet with a full-sized keyboard. Remember with Chromebooks you cannot load software on to it, so you will use cloud-based software like Google Docs and Sheets, etc. This is an alternative to a smaller tablet device.

HoverCam Solo 5 Document Camera, Shooting area can handle A3, A4, tabloid, legal, letter size or smaller documents. Display two full pages and even a whole textbook. This works well with your laptop at NARA I according to our friend Barry Kline who first got me interested in this. It's a lot easier than carrying around a tripod, and the digital image quality is excellent.

Albinar 23inch high Copy Macro Stand with 14x15.75 inches base and lights. Using this with a digital camera is a LOT faster than using a scanner.

Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)
